September 27, 2009. Shuttle hike at Mt. Rainier from Comet Falls trail head up to Van Trump Park across Rampart Ridge to meet up with the Wonderland trail and back down to Longmire...whew! Nice fall day with Dave & Bob and their old-time pal, Jeff. Comet Falls is amazing and Van Trump park is worth an entire day. We watched sheep grazing up high and witnessed some big rockfall on the Mountain.
